What is quarantine accommodation?

Under the directive from the Inter-Agency Task Force on COVID-19, the Philippine government has been implementing quarantine and testing procedures for passengers arriving in the Philippines. Here are the hotels that have been accredited by the Department of Health (DOH) for mandatory quarantine and stringent quarantine. This is based on the list published by the Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ) on 21 December 2020.

Quarantine accommodation is a process of temporary isolation of a person who travelled from another country and for local suspects exposed in coronavirus  There are two types of quarantine that passengers could be subjected to: stringent and mandatory. The type of quarantine will be determined through special screening procedures that will be conducted by government health professionals upon arrival in the Philippines.

What is mandatory quarantine?

Mandatory quarantine is for all the other passengers arriving in the Philippines. They must undergo Rapid Antibody COVID-19 testing and stay at a mandatory quarantine facility. They have the option to stay at a hotel approved as a quarantine facility of their choice at their own expense. For Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), costs of test and hotel are free of charge.

What is stringent quarantine?

Stringent quarantine is required for all passengers coming from a ‘high-risk’ area as identified by the WHO or in case of sea-based overseas Filipinos, those from a ‘high-risk’ vessel. It will also be required for any passengers with flu-like symptoms based on the assessment of a health officer at the airport. These passengers must undergo RT PCR COVID-19 testing at the port of entry or designated quarantine facility. They will be then required to stay at a stringent quarantine facility until their test results are released.

What are isolation facilities by the government?

Community Isolation Units (CIUs) – DOH certified publicly or privately owned non hospital facilities set-up in coordination with or by the national government (NG) or local government units (LGUs) to serve as quarantine facilities for probable and conf11med cases ofCOVID-19 based on DOH guidelines.

Free Standing Facility – a facility that does not share basic services with a hospital-based provider.

When will my property go online?

If you completed all the property details and reviewed your listing that is completed and sounds good to you, , you can open your property for bookings on our site. Our verification team will verify your property anytime of the day from the date you signed up before you can start accepting bookings, but you can use this time to get familiar with your property system dashboard and be ready for your first guest.

Will I be able to update my registration details at a later date?

As our legit and verified partner, you can update your details at any time you want. Let’s say for  example, if you want to add a new facility or more details or if you want to tell us more about your location, the highlights of your property or if you want to publish with your own personalized travel guide intended for your guest then  add all of  this information whenever you want to.

What kinds of photos and sizes should I upload?

Your photos will represent who you are and your property, it is highly recommended to upload photos of the most current updated clean crisp for the benefit of your future guest . When you sign up, we ask you to upload photos of your space. This is because we know our guests love browsing through photos when looking for a place to stay. We recommend that you upload photos at 10 that showcase both the inside – these are front desk, hallway, bedroom, toilet and bath and all other interior of your property that describe exactly your property and the outside – include he entrance in the street, surrounding establishment like resto, convenient stores, mall etc of your property. They don’t need to be professional photos – photos with a smartphone will still give your guests a good impression of the space.

How do I find out how much commission I’ll pay for bookings?

When you add your property to Buenbyahe.com, you pay commission for each booking. The commission percentage will be shown at the “Agreement” step of the registration process. At the end of each month, we’ll send you an invoice with the amount of commission owed.

Do I have to confirm all of my bookings?

Sometimes especially this pandemic, you want to set your booking from manual confirmation to avoid miscommunication, but as a default You don’t need to confirm any of your bookings. When a customer books a stay at your property, it is instantly confirmed online. This gives you the convenience of not having to check every request from every potential guest.

What happens if a guest cancels?

Two things may happen when a guest cancels a reservation. If a guest cancels and your property has a free cancellation policy, the guest pays nothing and you don’t pay commission. If a guest cancels and your property doesn’t have a free cancellation policy, the guest pays a fee, and you pay commission on the amount that the guest pays you.

What happens if a guest doesn’t show up (a no-show)?

No-show? No problem. You won’t pay commission for guests who don’t show up – unless you’ve set up a “no-show charge” for your guests.

The badge symbolizes on-the-ground expertise and a commitment to sharing everyday experiences that inform real-time decisions across the Philippine Islands. From photographing a must-order dish to adding a small business, Community Ambassadors capture stories that lead neighbors, travelers, and everyone in between toward a better understanding of the places around them. The Philippines travel community takes that mission seriously.  

The Community Ambassador earns their badges through consistent contributions that express these values. Review the below guidelines to avoid being removed from the program.

Share thoughtful reviews and tips

It’s in the details. Always include notable information about a place and your experience. Avoid vague, generic, and repetitive comments like reviews that just say “ok,” “good,” or “yum.” Describe the setting, the design, the vibe, the highs and/or lows, and relevant specifics.

  • Restaurants, cafes, and bars: Say what you ordered and would recommend or avoid. 
  • Shops: Describe the selection, price range, service, and the type of clientele who might like it. 

Community Ambassador who duplicate reviews across locations will be removed from the program.

Take photos that clearly and accurately represent a location

Photos help tell the story of a place. To do that, it’s important that images be relevant and in focus. It’s helpful to take advantage of natural light, try shots from different angles before uploading the best options, and zoom out enough to capture the entirety of a subject, like a horizontal photo that shows the full exterior of a building, or a restaurant dish shot from above. Also please respect the privacy of others and ask for permission or avoid taking identifiable images of people at places like schools and hospitals.

Dark, blurry, and redundant photos will be removed. Users who duplicate photos across locations, or post images that infringe on copyrights, will also be removed.

Be trustworthy

Contributions must be based on real experiences and information. Deliberately fake edits, copied or stolen photos, off-topic answers, defamatory language, personal attacks, and unnecessary or incorrect edits are all in violation of our policy. If you see this behavior, please report it.

Users who abuse this trust will be removed from the Community Ambassadors program.

Reviews, edits, or photos marked private by Community Ambassador  are in violation of our policies and are visible only to you. Private reviews, edits, or photos do not count toward your Community Ambassadors level.

My points went down. What happened?

Points may be deducted if your contribution is determined to be in violation of our content policy. Contributions that violate our policies do not count toward your Community Ambassadors level.

Do my points expire?

Based on our current points and benefits structure, contributions made to points of interest or businesses that are in the travel community  do not expire. Contributions made to businesses that have permanently closed and have been removed from the travel community or in the google map  will not count toward your Community Ambassadors level.

Minimum requirements for Community Ambassadors list to be eligible

In order for your Community Ambassadors list to be eligible, it must:

  • Have a list title (i.e. a custom list, not Want To Go or Favorites)
  • Include a minimum of 4 places
  • The list must be shared publicly
Prohibited and Restricted Content

The following policies apply to all formats, including Reviews, Photos, and Videos. Content that does not meet these criteria may be rejected from publication on Buenbyahe Travel Community .

Contributions to Buenbyahe Travel Community  should accurately represent the location in question. Where contributions distort truth, we will remove content. This includes reviews, photos, or videos not related to the location or business where they are tagged. If content is inaccurately placed on the Buenbyahe Travel Guide, or is associated with an incorrect listing, the contribution may be rejected.

Reviews are automatically processed to detect inappropriate content like fake reviews and spam. We may take down reviews that are flagged in order to comply with Community Ambassador  policies or legal obligations.

Spam and fake content

Your content should reflect your genuine experience at the location and should not be posted just to manipulate a place’s ratings. Don’t post fake content, don’t post the same content multiple times, and don’t post content for the same place from multiple accounts.

Off-topic

Only post content based on your experience or questions about experiences at the specific location. Buenbyahe Travel Guides is not meant to be a forum for general political, social commentary, or personal rants. Content that does not meet this standard will be removed.

Restricted content

For some products or services subject to controls and local regulations, you must follow certain guidelines when posting content. The content you upload may not feature calls to action or offers for the sale of products or services that are subject to local legal regulations. This includes, but is not limited to, alcohol, gambling, tobacco, guns, health and medical devices, regulated pharmaceuticals, adult services, and financial services.

The content shouldn’t display:

Links to a landing page where it is possible to purchase restricted goods or services.

Email address and/or phone numbers to contact for the purchase of restricted goods.

Promotional offers for restricted goods or services. For example, you shouldn’t upload content that displays deals, coupons, pricing information or other promotions for a restricted product or service.

Note that incidental depictions of these products are excluded from this policy. Examples include:

Images of menus.

Images where alcoholic beverages are present but not the main focus.

Illegal content

We don’t accept content that is illegal or depicts illegal activity. This includes:

Images or any other content that infringes on anyone else’s legal rights, including copyright. For more information or to file a DMCA request, review our copyright procedures.

All sexual abuse imagery and all content that presents children in a sexual manner.

Content on dangerous or illegal acts such as: rape, organ sale, human trafficking..

Illegal products and services: endangered animal products, illegal drugs, prescription drugs diverted to the illegal market.

Images of graphic or gratuitous violence, or which promote violence.

Content produced by or on behalf of terrorist groups.

Terrorist content

We do not permit terrorist organizations to use this service for any purpose, including recruitment. We also strictly prohibit content related to terrorism, such as content that promotes terrorist acts, incites violence, or celebrates terrorist attacks. If posting content related to terrorism for an educational, documentary, scientific, or artistic purpose, be mindful to provide enough information so viewers understand the context. 

Sexually explicit content

We don’t allow content that contains sexually explicit material. Also, we absolutely don’t allow content that sexually exploits children or present them in a sexual manner. We will remove this type of content, shut down the account, and send a report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement.

Offensive content

We will remove content that contains obscene, profane, or offensive language or gestures.

Dangerous & Derogatory Content

Community Ambassador Buenbyahe  is a place for safe communications between users. For this reason, we don’t permit merchants or consumers to post dangerous or derogatory content, including content that:

Threatens or advocates for harm on oneself or others

Harasses, intimidates or bullies an individual or group of individuals.

Incites hatred against, promotes discrimination of, or disparages an individual or group on the basis of their race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, age, nationality, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, or other characteristic that is associated with systemic discrimination or marginalization.

Impersonation

We don’t allow individuals to use Community Ambassador to mislead others. This applies to deceptive content as well as false representations.

Do not attribute your content to another individual, company or organization if you are not authorized to represent them.

Community Ambassador reserves the right to remove content, suspend accounts, or pursue other legal action against contributors who falsely claim that they represent or are employed by Community Ambassador by Buenbyahe

Conflict of Interest

Buenbyahe Travel Guides user contributed content is most valuable when it is honest and unbiased. Examples of disallowed practices include, but are not limited to:

Reviewing your own business.

Posting content about a current or former employment experience.

Posting content about a competitor to manipulate their ratings.

FAQ: BUENBYAHE BOOKING

Booking details

Can I get more details of information about the room or property?

Yes you can, actually you visit back   details about the property in your confirmation email or on the property detail page. Double verification of property information can be found in google search Forlook google trip then search the property, anything else, you can also contact property directly.

Can I have  a confirmation via email?

Yes, In most cases, you will receive this email along with the booking voucher within seconds. If you still haven’t received it after that time, please check your junk mail and/or spam filters. You can also download or resend your booking voucher available in your  online account.

Can I check my booking details and status anytime?

Yes, you can always view your booking details and status online by signing in and selecting “My bookings” from the account menu. If you don’t know your sign in detail, you can follow the “My bookings” link in your confirmation email.

Can I request to resend the booking voucher to me?

Buenbyahe  now provides you with a self-service option. Just by clicking on the self-service link provided in your confirmation email, you will be able to resend your booking voucher.

Can I add an extra bed/baby cot in my room?

The availability of extra bed/baby cot depends on the  property availability, The property may charge  additional costs for extra children in excess of the allowable number of children in your booking statement , including extra beds, usually in most are not included in the reservation price unless stated. The property team is ready to help you if you opt to contact them directly for this information.

Does the hotel provide airport transfer?

When making a search you can choose ‘Hotel/Airport transfer’ in the facilities section to help you with your search. Hotels will also provide this information in the “Useful Information” section on the hotel page displayed on the website. Some rooms come with complimentary airport transfer. If this is the case it will be specified in the room type or will be noted in the grand total on the booking form. Airport transfers are usually subject to a charge. If you would like to arrange airport transfer, please contact the hotel directly.

How to choose what type of bed I want?

You can send your special request for a bed type to the property using the self-service option. Please note that all special requests are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed by the Property.

Cancellation

How can I cancel my booking?

You can cancel your booking online on the Buenbyahe  website or app. Any cancellation fees are determined by the property and listed in your cancellation policy.

Will I be charged if I cancel my booking?

If you have a free cancellation booking, you won’t pay a cancellation fee. If your booking is no longer free to cancel or is non-refundable, you may incur a cancellation fee. Any cancellation fees for a booking is determined by the property.

How do I know if my booking was cancelled?

After you cancel a booking with us, you should receive an email confirming the cancellation. Check your inbox and spam/junk mail folders.

Where can I find the cancellation policy?

If I have booked accommodation through Buenbyahe , how can I check my cancellation policy?

If you are using the Buenbyahe  app, sign in and tap the Bookings icon at the bottom of the screen. Select your booking. Your cancellation policy will be shown under Booking conditions. If you are using the Buenbyahe  website, sign in and select My bookings from the menu. Click Edit booking and check the Booking conditions section for your cancellation policy.

If I have booked a package through Buenbyahe , how can I check my cancellation policy?

If you booked a package with us, you will be receiving a separate email regarding your accommodation. Please note that the waiver policies for your accommodation booking may be different than those of your airline booking.

A Hero is a local travel planner who uses their experience and on-the-ground knowledge to research, recommend and assist travelers with things like food suggestions, local tips, lodging, transportation arrangements, and much more, creating an unparalleled travel experience. Your Hero will act as your special helper for every step of the travel planning process and will help you uncover hidden gems that you otherwise may not have discovered.

Are Heroes actually locals?

Yes! Our Heroes either currently live or have lived a significant amount of time in the country. Additionally, they regularly travel all over the country, building connections not only in their city of residence but throughout the entire country to aid in their trip planning.

Will I meet my Hero in person? Is my Hero a tour guide?

If you would like to have a tour guide for any portion of your trip, your Hero can certainly recommend one and arrange this for you. Our Heroes themselves don’t serve as your guides, but rather, they work with you every step of the way to create a personalized guidebook that you can take with you in an offline app. 

Our Heroes are all travel fanatics who love their home turf and want to share their travel secrets with you—and some happen to be tour guides outside of ViaHero! Occasionally, the Hero and traveler will arrange to meet during the trip, although this is outside of the ViaHero service.

How do Heroes customize each trip plan?

Once a trip request is sent to a Hero, you will be sent a form to provide all the fun details and trip preferences for the Hero to utilize while they customize your trip plan. Once the Hero reviews this form information, they provide a preliminary outline for you to review/make revisions until it reflects the exact experience you aim to have! 

How are Heroes vetted?

Our Heroes go through a rigorous interview and training process. Most of them have many years of successful experience planning trips and comprehensive knowledge of the entire country. Additionally, we show ratings and reviews for our Heroes on their profile.

We are successful only when our travelers are happy with their experience. That’s why we’re focused day in and day out on making sure that our Heroes provide the best possible trip planning service, tailored to each traveler’s unique requirements. They don’t favor certain hotels, certain tour guides, or certain destinations; the Heroes simply try to make sure that what they propose is the best fit for you.

We aim to be as transparent as possible by showing ratings and reviews for all our Heroes—good or bad. If a Hero makes a poor recommendation, you’ll see that represented in the reviews. We do not filter reviews; they are input by travelers themselves.

How will I communicate with my Hero?

You will communicate with your Hero via email and/or messaging on the ViaHero site leading up to your trip. Once you receive your personalized travel guidebook from ViaHero, you can continue to work with your Hero to ask questions and request any changes. You can also connect with your Hero via on-the-ground phone support during your trip.

To find a local who can plan your trip, choose your destination, enter your preferences, and view profiles of our locals. You can message any of our locals for FREE before booking by clicking the messaging link in their profile.
